Good net, bad install method.

First off the net is very durable and rugged. The install to mount the two webbed D rings above the B pillar was a frustrating nightmare. I watched the video several times to make sure I knew exactly what I was getting into but once you take the plastic trim off, good luck ever getting it back to the factory tightness. The upper plastic trim piece has two plastic clips, one is round and in the top and the other is square in the bottom. Of course the square ones snapped off on both sides and the upper round ones just don't hold it in very well no matter if I replaced them with new clips or not. Seems like it would be easier instead of drilling holes for the webbing bracket to just bolt it in using the upper seat-belt bolt.

4Runner

It is a great product, really nice addition to my vehicle. Keeps my dogs in the back and if I have to brake hard they have the webbing to catch them. And I have the the security of knowing if in a wreck the stuff in the back will stay there.

Great net, an experience to install but doable

Took us about half an hour to figure out how to install one side of the heavy duty mounts. Took me (young female) about 15 minutes to install the other side by myself. Had a slight issue with some of the install equipment (was wrong size) but seller resolved extremely fast. It will take some time before my two wolfdogs can chew through this!

Awesome, glad to hear and thanks for reaching out to let us know you had trouble with some of the installation hardware. Beautiful dogs! They will have many adventures and looks like they've claimed the ENTIRE BACK of your 4Runner too! Thanks for the feedback. Zeff, Zak and the humans at Raingler Nets too! P.S. Give the net a spray with some kind of chewing deterrent too. We've have had good success with Grannick's Bitter Apple but test with the pups first.

Good net. Terrible install experience

I waited 24 hours before writing this review to cool off. First I'll say that Raingler makes great products and this one is no exception. However, the engineering expectation of drilling into and then ******** into the B-pillar is too much in my opinion. Mind you, I'm no rookie, I've done a lot to my 4Runner but this by far was the most frustrating and nerve wracking experience yet. What Raingler doesn't tell you: You will damage your headliner with your drill. The small blue fasteners that clip in the upper interior pillar trim are not reusable (get spares ahead of time). The 5/32 drill bit used to start the pilot holes is barely enough and you will need extra screws because you will strip the screw heads repeatedly as you struggle to get them tight, if you even do. Overall this was a terrible experience and I wish that I had never started the installation but once you drill the first hole you might as well go all the through with the job. Do I recommend this product? No.

We are sorry to hear of the trying experience that you had installing your net. While we typically do not have to replace the nylon push in fasteners in shop (at least in a newer vehicle, older ones can crack for certain), it is a very good idea to get an extra pair or two just in case one gets lost or dropped. An alternative to the drill in mounts are the Heavy Duty mounts that bolt in using the factory 14mm bolt. Please watch the video installation before purchase to decide which is best. If one does stick with the standard /drill option, use a small scrap of cardboard to protect the headliner surface. In hundreds of these installation, we have not damaged a headliner, but always go slow and any precautions are always a good idea.

First Rate In EVERY Way

OK, here is my review... There are multiple facets and aspects of Customer Service and there are varying levels of Product Quality. First rate quality is utmost. Prompt shipping is great. Done Deal, right? Hopefully yes. Well that is just what I got from Raingler, the materials and sewing quality of the Net I purchased I don't think could get any better, superb quality. It wasn't cheap but I've never seen any better quality and rarely equivalent quality. Once the foregoing is achieved/delivered is that it? No, not if you have a problem. Quality aside, one of, if not, the most important aspects of a first quality transaction is how the Seller deals with problems, objections, etc. I had a challenge installing my Net and it took me nearly two months to get around to attempting to install it and discovering the challenge, I called Raingler, I got voicemail. I left a message and received a return call within about 30 minutes from Ed. I explained to Ed that I was not comfortable installing the Net myself and that I didn't know anyone to help me. Ed said, "send it back, we'll give you a full refund". See, now that is SERVICE! My only regret is that it didn't work for me because I truly appreciated the intrinsic quality of the Net, the Black webbing with Red stitching complemented the interior of my vehicle beautifully.
