QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
I'm looking for a cargo net/barrier to secure small but heavy items in the event of a crash (e.g. fire extinguisher, water can). Have these been tested for load/strength in a scenario like that?
We have the testing for our materials, webbing, hardware and also assembled with stitching etc. We can't replicate the actual installed unit in every vehcile but do have numerous before and after crashes, rollovers etc from consumers over the last 20 years and are currently in place in many fleet, government and military applications worldwide. Typically the weakest point in the Outback is the OEM installed anchor points and most are generally rated at 150#'s each.
For our more safety conscious applications we recommed also adding the vertical barrier net in addition to the floor cargo hold down if you feel you might need to take it to that level hauling extremely sharp edged and heavy (often steel) items in back.
